Matthew Johnson is an editor, poet, and publisher whose writings have appeared in journals such as Apple Valley Review, London Magazine, Maryland Literary Review, Northern New England Review, and elsewhere. He spent most of his childhood in Stratford, CT, and earned his MA in English from UNC-Greensboro. A former sports reporter and editor, he is the author of three poetry collections and has received multiple Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net nominations, as well as other recognitions. He is also the poetry editor of the literary journal, The Twin Bill.

Melissa “Misty” Dione McEwen is a poet from Hartford, Connecticut. Her work has appeared in Connecticut Literary Anthology, Connecticut River Review, Rattle, and other publications, earning nominations for multiple literary awards. Her chapbook, This is No Place to Raise a Baby, was published by dancing girl press & studio in 2023. She was also featured in Miranda July’s F.A.M.I.L.Y., a project that broadened her creative work beyond poetry.

Rachel Goldman is a senior at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School in Sudbury, Massachusetts. A Features editor of The Forum, her high school newspaper, Rachel is also the founder of The Shelf Life, a reviews-filled literary podcast on Spotify. An avid reader, Rachel serves as an intern for Portrait of New England.

Smrithi Eswar is a senior at Chelmsford High School in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. She has previously written for the Times of India, and she currently writes for the Chelmsford Alumni Magazine through The Lowell Sun newspaper. In the future, she hopes to pursue a career in an English-related field. Smrithi served as Assistant Editor for the first issue of Portrait of New England
